ART AND GEOMETRY

For me, being creative and the development of this skill is really important due to the benefits it has for our daily life. For that reason it is important to make students aware about geometry in art.
Maybe , giving them a long talk about it, is not the best way for them. However, what about let them to be creative?

There is an italian artist called Luigi Veronesi, who creates puppets using geometric figures. 

I have seen a blog called "Arte para aprender en Hoduras" which a very interesting proposal which is the following one.The teacher can show and teach students about him in order to let them create their own figures thinking about geometric shapes. After that, they can expose to their mates about their final work, explaining the geometrical figures it is composed of and why they have created them.

With this activity they can work with their imagination at the same time they have to think using their geometrical knowledge. Even more, it is a funny way of working with it and letting them space to create something new.
